About Digital Alphabet Books
The name on the spine of every book Brian J. Mueller has published.
Digital Alphabet Books is the imprint Brian J. Mueller publishes under. It appears in every printed copy of his work, and has done since the first collection in 2002. Ten volumes are in print today — the Bull series, four volumes of Brian’s Poem of the Day, a book of morning haiku, and the newest book.
It is a small press in the most literal sense: one poet, one catalogue, and no ambition to be anything larger.
How the books are made
Every volume is a paperback, printed on demand through Amazon KDP. A copy is manufactured when someone orders it. Nothing sits in a warehouse, no print run has to be guessed at in advance, and a book stays available for as long as anyone wants to read it.
The poems are free
Every poem in every one of these books can be read, searched and saved for nothing at brianspoems.com. That is deliberate, and it is rather the point: a poem does its work by being read.
The poems are licensed CC BY-NC-ND 4.0, which Brian puts more plainly than the lawyers do:

Buying a book
If the poems are free, buying a printed volume is a choice rather than a toll — and it is what keeps the free collection online and the next book being written. A paperback is also simply a better way to live with poems: something to hold, to mark up, to leave on a nightstand, to give away.
